Check the ceiling box
Verify your ceiling box is fan-rated and securely mounted.
STEP 03
Mount the bracket
Fix the mounting bracket to the ceiling box using included hardware.
STEP 04
Connect wiring
Match line, neutral, and ground per the included quick start guide.
STEP 05
Pair remote / app
Power on, then follow the pairing flow for remote or Smart+ app.
Remote & app pairing
Remote pairing
- Insert batteries.
- Power on the fan light.
- Hold the pairing button until the indicator blinks.
- Test fan speed and light.
Smart+ app pairing
- Switch your phone to a 2.4GHz WiFi network.
- Open the FancyMay app.
- Add a new device and follow the prompts.
- Confirm voice integration on supported SKUs.
Troubleshooting
Remote is not responding
Confirm batteries are fresh and you are within range. Re-pair using the steps in the manual.
App cannot find the fan light
Smart+ models require 2.4GHz WiFi. Confirm your phone is on 2.4GHz during setup.
Fan wobbles
Check that all blade screws are tight and the bracket is flush against the ceiling.
Light flickers
Verify the wiring is secure and your dimmer, if any, is compatible with LED fixtures.
